2014 Pet Plan Awards Finals 

Well done to our Practice Manager Niki for getting to last night's Pet Plan Awards finals. Sadly Niki was pipped to the post by Sharon Lane-Kieltyka from Somerset. Niki will always be our winner though. Never one to court the limelight we think that Niki was secretly relieved not to have any more photos and videos taken!

Eastcott Reaches the Pet Plan Finals for another year

Eastcott Vets have twice won the Pet Plan Awards UK Vets Practice of the Year. This year Eastcott received 2 nominations for the Practice of the Year category plus Vet Duncan Barnes and Practice Manager Niki Burton also received individual nominations. We are delighted to announce that Niki has been selected as a finalist for the Practice Manager of the Year Category. Niki is a very dedicated member of the Eastcott team and works tirelessly both behind the scenes and front of house. Her nomination and place in the final is well deserved. Niki however would rather be at her desk than in front of the cameras and is not too thrilled at being thrust into the limelight! Being selected as a finalist is a huge achievement and one to be proud of. We wish her all the best of luck in the final in a few weeks. Well done to Duncan too!

Fundraising events recently supported by Eastcott Vets

Our chosen charity in 2013 was Canine Partners - a charity that trains dogs for the disabled. We will be presenting them with a cheque for £1,007 shortly.  We have also supported some other charities both animal and human and would like to thank everyone for their support, donations and sponsorship.

The Tale of Simon 

Simon owes his life to a kind member of the public who bought him in after being hit by a car! He was in a critical condition on arrival and after receiving vital veterinary care it became clear that Simon had suffered major injuries. He had extensive damage to his right eye, a painful and complicated fracture to his left canine tooth and a fracture involving the hard palate in his mouth. Eastcott Vets & nursing team fought hard to stabilise him and make him feel as comfortable as possible. Simon, despite all he had been through was a very affectionate and loving chap always keen for a cuddle! But no matter how much fuss he received he would not eat due to the injuries he had sustained.
