Swindon Cat Owner wins Diabetic Pet Carer of the Year
When we heard about this award there was only one person that could possibly win it in our minds. Eastcott Vet Richard Gowshall immediately nominated Audrey Cowley who cares for her diabetic cat Symba. This is no ordinary owner/cat relationship however. Read Audrey's story below.
What to do with an injured stray cat
If you find an injured stray cat it is important that your first point of contact is the RSPCA. The RSPCA can be contacted on 0300 1234999. They will advise you to take the cat to a vet if needed. Only when they have advised you to take a cat to a vet will they provide a log number. It is important to obtain a log number before taking it to a vet. This log number will mean that the RSPCA will contribute something towards a cat's treatment.
Edison our Sponsored Guide Dog Puppy Comes to Edison!
It seems that we are receiving more and more requests to help find missing pets. We are used to cats wandering but numbers seem to be increasing and dogs are also going missing with no trace of their whereabouts. Please take a little time to have a look and see if you can help find out where they are.
In November we sponsored Tommy the Cat from the Wyvern Theatre's production of Dick Whittington
As with all of our feline patients, we sent Tommy the Cat a reminder for his health check and vaccination to make sure he was in purrfect health before going on stage.
