The K Laser has been added to our range of treatment options!

Providing vets with a non-invasive, non ‘medicinal’ way of treating some conditions.

The K laser uses specific wavelengths of light (red and near-infrared) to create therapeutic effects. These effects include improved healing time, pain reduction, increased circulation and decreased swelling.

During laser treatment, laser energy increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area. This creates an optimal healing environment that reduces inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain. As the injured area returns to normal, function is restored and pain is relieved.

Laser therapy is pain free and pets may be treated as inpatients or outpatients with their owners present. Whilst improvement is often seen after the first session, most patients require a course of 3-8 sessions to achieve the best results.

Treatments can vary in length, but most sites require 2 to 8 minutes. The response to therapy is generally quick with many patients exhibiting greater comfort and mobility within 12 to 24 hours after a laser treatment.

Some conditions that may benefit from K Laser Therapy include: arthritis, joint pain, sprains, wounds, neck and back pain, hip dysplasia, burns, post-surgical pain and general recovery.
