The Tale of Simon 

Simon owes his life to a kind member of the public who bought him in after being hit by a car! He was in a critical condition on arrival and after receiving vital veterinary care it became clear that Simon had suffered major injuries. He had extensive damage to his right eye, a painful and complicated fracture to his left canine tooth and a fracture involving the hard palate in his mouth. Eastcott Vets & nursing team fought hard to stabilise him and make him feel as comfortable as possible. Simon, despite all he had been through was a very affectionate and loving chap always keen for a cuddle! But no matter how much fuss he received he would not eat due to the injuries he had sustained.

We now offer free dental health checks for dogs and cats. If you are concerned that your dog or cat may have dental health issues please contact the surgery to arrange a dental check up. Early diagnosis of dental health issues can prevent tooth loss, unnecessary discomfort, and smell!

How many of us have tried the old 'My dog ate my homework trick? For one schoolgirl it was actually true! Her dog did eat her homework but thankfully Reggie is now back on his feet and his owner managed to avoid detention. See the story below.

The Story of Teacup

Teacup was small kitten of 14 weeks that was failing to thrive. Her vet in Surrey examined her and diagnosed Pectus excavatum, a serious congenital chest deformity. You can perhaps see the strange shape of her chest in the photo below.

Message received from owner "Good News my two Persians were returned. They were taken, and were in Gloucestershire allegedly. The police are investigating but they are home safe and well, returned to me Saturday"
