Does my house rabbit need to be vaccinated?

Rabbit vaccinations are essential for giving your rabbit adequate protection from life-threatening and debilitating diseases such as viral haemorrhagic disease (VHD 1 and 2) and myxomatosis.

How often does my rabbit need to be vaccinated?

We recommend rabbit vaccinations every 12 months to protect them against diseases that have the potential to be fatal.

Do they need to go to the vet to receive their rabbit vaccination?

To ensure your rabbit is kept happy and healthy, we recommend annual check-ups, as well as consults if you’re worried about your rabbit’s health. Rabbits are vulnerable to infectious diseases and illnesses. A common of these is dental disease, which can cause a wide range of problems for your pet. By booking your rabbit in at Eastcott Vets we can advise you on rabbit vaccinations as well as external and internal parasite prevention.
