RVHD2 Vaccine for Rabbits

New strain of deadly rabbit viral haemorrhagic disease (VHD).

The new strain of VHD known as VHD2, causes rabbits to haemorrhage (bleed) in major organs. Rabbits can display no symptoms, but once infected they can die in hours.

The scale of the disease’s spread is difficult to assess and any wild rabbits infected will die quickly in burrows and those rabbits that die in their homes do not have the cause of death confirmed by post mortem

To date there is no vaccine available for pet rabbits in the UK. However, there is a VHD2 vaccine available from Europe that we have obtained under a special import certificate and is now in stock.
