Eastcott Vet Supports Movember

Update 5th December 2013

Thankfully normal service has been resumed! As of 1st December, vet Richard Gowshall has removed his Movember charity 'tash and is smooth faced again. Thank you to everyone who donated to Richard's Movember crusade and also to those who had to endure looking at the rather off putting facial growth!

Richard Gowshall's Movember Moustache Removed

No, this is not a Wanted Poster and no, we have not employed a new Mexican Vet!

Eastcott Vet Richard Gowshall actually has a valid reason for sporting this truly awful moustache, he is a Mo Bro!

What on earth is a Mo Bro?

Mo Bros join together every November to support Movember.

What is Movember?

Movember is an annual, month-long event involving the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of prostate cancer and other male cancer and associated charities. Movember challenges men to grow a moustache for the 30-days of November, thereby changing their appearance and the face of men’s health.

In October, Mo Bros sign up at Movember.com, and on the 1st of Movember, with a clean-shaven face, start their Mo growing journey.

Then for the entire month, these selfless and generous men known as Mo Bros, effectively become walking, talking billboards for 30 days. Through their growing efforts they raise awareness for the often ignored issues of men’s health, by prompting conversations wherever they go.

Another crucial part of being a Mo Bro is to raise funds for men’s health. Men donate their face, and much like taking part in a run or a walk for charity, ask their family and friends to sponsor their efforts.
