Eastcott Vets COVID-19 (coronavirus) 12th April update

Eastcott Vets COVID-19 (coronavirus) 12th April update

At Eastcott, the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, visitors and clients remains our number one priority.

Throughout the pandemic, we have continued to deliver exceptional care to patients whilst doing our part to reduce the spread of Covid. In light of the recent government announcement and the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions over the coming months, we will continually review the measures we have in place at the hospital.

For now we kindly ask that you take the following precautions.  These are in place to protect everyone who visits and works here.

Guidance for clients visiting the practice

  • If you have been exposed to Covid-19, had close contact with someone who has, or are experiencing symptoms (new persistent cough, fever, loss of smell), and have pets that need veterinary care, please call us. We will be able to advise you on how your pets can receive the care they need.
  • If you have been told to self-isolate and have recently visited one of our practices, please let us know as soon as possible. This is so we can implement measures to protect our staff and other clients.
  • On arrival, we are asking clients to report to reception wearing, where possible, a face covering.
  • You will be met by a staff member who may ask you Covid related questions, will supply hand sanitiser and monitoring numbers in the waiting room.
  • If we do permit you into the waiting room we are unable to accept more than one client in the practice per patient (unless assistance is required).
  • Clients may be asked to wait in their car or outside to reduce numbers in the building at any one time.
  • Please follow any social distancing signage or instructions given to you by our staff.
  • Our clinicians may conduct some of the verbal part of the consultation by telephone and can come out to the car park to collect the patient.

We are following the government’s most recent advice regarding the measures we need to take to help control the spread of Covid-19.

Thank you for your understanding during this time.
