Exciting New Graduate Positions

We looking to recruit  up to 3 new or recent graduates to join us at our purpose-built hospital that has a first opinion and referral caseload. The position is a well supported fixed, 1 year contract to commence in July/August 2019. Our aim is to develop you into capable, rounded and confident clinicians. We offer:

6 Veterinary Surgeon Intern Vacancies

Eastcott Vets and Eastcott Referrals rotating internship at purpose built small animal hospital. 

We are looking for 6 well-motivated interns to work in our team to support our referral and first opinion teams to start in early June. New graduates and experienced candidates will all be considered.

You will be part of a team of 6 interns.

We offer:

  • 1 month induction
  • Structured development program on a 6 week rotating timetable
  • Direct supervision from RCVS recognised specialists in both surgery and internal medicine with additional time spent in ophthalmology and dental and oral surgery
  • Additional teaching sessions, seminars, journal clubs and opportunities to complete a clinical research project within allocated “off-clinics” time

Veterinary Receptionist/Client Care Team Member Full Time 

We are looking for a Full Time Receptionist/Client Care team member to join our team. We are a Leading Veterinary Hospital based off Dorcan Way in Swindon. 

This full time position will be on a rolling rota which will be 8 hour days between the hours of 6.45am and to 8.30pm. The rota will include approximately 1 in 6 weekends (to be confirmed) and 1 bank holiday a year.

This is a highly rewarding role that involves close contact with clients and their pets. 

We are looking for candidates that can start as soon as possible but will also consider strong candidates who need to work out a longer notice period.

Skills and Competencies

  • Experience working with the public in person and by telephone
  • A passion for working with the public
  • Ability to multitask
  • Good telephone manner
  • The ability to communicate well with clients and colleagues
  • PC literate with Excel and Word
  • Negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Sound literacy and numeracy skills
  • Able to adapt and quickly use in-house computer applications and software (Robovet system - training will be provided

Veterinary Receptionist/Client Care Team Member Part Time

We are looking for a part time Receptionist/Client Care Team member to work part time at our Bath Road Clinic in Old Town. They would be required to work every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday between 2pm - 7.15pm. The total number of hours would be  16.75  per week. 

This is a highly rewarding role that involves close contact with clients and their pets. Unlike the role at our Edision Park Clinic and Hospital, this role involves periods of working alone. You will not be part of a larger team but will work closely with the consulting vet during the consulting hours of 4pm-7pm. An ability to self motivate and be confident in running the clinic effectively is essential.

Some training may be provided at our Edison Park Clinic & Hospital and an ability to drive is a requirement.

We are looking for candidates that can start as soon as possible but will also consider strong candidates who need to work out a longer notice period.
