Eastcott Veterinary Hospital provides a referral service for oral, dental and maxillofacial problems based at it’s dedicated dental referral unit at 6 Clive Parade, Cricklade Road, Swindon, SN2 1AJ. The referral service is run by Peter Southerden BVSc MBA DipEVDC MRCVS European Specialist in Veterinary Dentistry, one of the directors at Eastcott Veterinary Hospital. Peter has completed an alternate pathway training program for the European Diploma in Veterinary Dentistry and Oral Surgery and will be sitting his diploma exams in June. We aim to give the highest standard of care for dentistry, oral and maxillofacial surgery cases backed up by the staff of our own Tier 3 Veterinary Hospital. This gives us the ability to hospitalise and manage cases with long term and complicated post operative nursing requirements if required. Indications for referral include:
- Fractured and discoloured teeth
- Tooth luxation or avulsion
- Malocclusion
- Periodontal disease
- Enamel dysplasia
- Tooth root abscess
- Jaw fractures
- Complicated extractions
- Oral neoplasia
- Feline chronic gingivostomatitis
- Feline odontoclastic resorptive disease
- Congenital or traumatic cleft palate
- TMJ disorders
- Salivary mucucoele
